THE EFFIGY OF POETRY

William Shakespeare was the most famous british writer who ever existed. He was a dramatist, poet and actor. Nobody really knows when he was born but he was baptized in Stratford-upon-Avon at 26th of April 1564. He died in 1616, but we don't know the cause neither. His dramas and comedies are the most important plays which have been played and filmed of world literature.
He wrote  38 dramas and 154 sonnets.
We don't really know much about his life but everybody who has read one of his plays knows that he was a genius. Not only because he had the talent to find beautiful words for bad things: he had the gift to play with words and give every single one of them a special meaning.
Some people think that some of his plays were not written by himself because of the fact that they are too brillant to be written by one single person. In fact, he was able to use the poorest languaje from the alleys and the highest one from the court at the same time. His vocabulary embraces over 17.750 different words.
His most famous play is Romeo and Juliet which is the most popular drama in history. But he wrote a lot more. Some people say that Hamlet was his masterpiece, but this is something which I am going to write about in the next post.
